Larry Richard Patterson, 1785 Faubush Road, Faubush, died Friday, April 7, 1995, at his residence following a long illness. He was 54.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, June 8, 1940, he was a son of Caleb Patterson, Nancy, and the late Ila Beasley Patterson. He was a co-owner of Classic Carpet on Parkers Mill Road, a member of Burnetta Baptist Church and a former member of the U.S. Army National Guard.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Wilma Jean Hall Patterson, whom he married October 12, 1968, in Somerset; two daughters, Sharon (and Randall) Loveless, Faubush, and Pamela (and Harrison) Simpson, Jr., Faubush; a brother, Norman Patterson, Pine Island, Florida; a sister, Lois Bowling, Somerset; and a granddaughter, Valerie Simpson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rex and Ronnie Patterson.
Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. at Burnetta Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bradley's Pleasure Cemetery.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Lucille Parker Markey Cancer Center.
