Mrs. Maria Clark, widow of the late Ezra Clark, died Wednesday, Jan 18, aged 71 years and 7 months. Deceased was born in Chautauqua county, New York, May 23, 1821, and was married Nov 1 1849, in Bloomfield township. The mother of four children, all of whom are dead except her son, O.D. Clark, who resides at this place. She was a member of the Baptist church nearly sixty-one years, having experienced religion at the age of 11 years. She was a most exemplary Christian, and died in the faith. The funeral was held at the residence of O. D. Clark, Saturday, conducted by Rev. Elmer Higley. Mrs. Clark was a cousin of the late Senator Roscoe Conkling.
