OBITUARY
FLORENCE R. HUBIN
Funeral services held 1:30 p.m., Friday November 16, 1973 at the United Methodist Church for Florence R. Hubin, age 69, Rt 3, Shell Lake, Wi. Who passed away November 14, 1973 at the Shell Lake Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 10, 1904 at Eau Claire, Wi to Erle and Alice Rounds. She lived in Eau Claire till 1925, graduated from Eau Claire Normal Teachers College in 1924. Taught 2 years in Hixton and 1 year at Gillmanton, Wi.
June 12, 1928 she was united in marriage to Walter Hubin in Eau Claire, Wi, they resided in Gillmanton, Wi. For 12 years before moving to Shell Lake where they made their home. She then taught 3 years at West Sarona and 2 years at the Madge school, also was a cook at the Shell Lake Hospital for a short time.
She was a member of the United Medthodist Church Naomi Circle, Tuesday Club, Beaver Brook Home makers, American Legion Auxiliary, was active in the Double B 4-H Club and served on the school board for 2 years.
Surviving are her husband, Walter, 4 sons, David, Blueridge Summit, Penn, Peter, Spooner, Wi, James, Shell Lake, Wi, and Daniel of Duluth, Mn, 5 grand children, 1 Son, Paul preceded her in death.
Interment at the Shell Lake Cemetery, Blume-Pockat Funeral Home in charge of arrangement and Rev. Dale Shotts officating.
Pallbearers were: Fred Luckman, Earnest Norton, George Norton, Dale Hubin, Lorin Hubin and Louis Furchtenicht.
