Richard E. Cole 80, Frankfort, IN, died at 6:41 p.m. December 11, 2012 at I.U. Arnett Health in Lafayette.
He was born February 1, 1932 in Frankfort, IN to the late Ernest D. & Veda M. (Kessler) Cole. He married Maribelle Toney and they divorced. He married Linda Alter on August 22, 1992 and she survives.
Mr. Cole was a 1950 graduate of Frankfort High School and was a lifelong Clinton County resident, spending his entire life on the family farm. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served from May 8, 1953-May 2, 1955.
Survived by wife, Linda Cole of Frankfort; two daughters, Susan (Ed) Robinson of Frankfort and Sara (Gary) Cooper of Frankfort; one son, Tom Cole of Frankfort; one step-son, Stace (Melissa) Alter of Forest; one step-daughter, Crystal (Terry) Williams of Bringhurst; a brother,Randall R. Cole of Frankfort; 4 Grandchildren, 5 Step Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Robert Cole.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, December 14th from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.
