Uptmor Rites Set Today
Funeral services for Joseph Uptmor of 124 Kate Ross Homes will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption. Rev. Mark Deering will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Uptmor died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday in a Waco hospital. He was 70.
Mr. Uptmor was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Mary’s church. He was born in Tours and had lived in McLennan County most of his life.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Beckham of 3500 Lasker Avenue and Mrs. Helen Kohutek; four sons, Jody Uptmor of Route 7, Waco, A.J. Uptmor of Route 3, Waco, Richard Uptmor of 320 Powers Street and Alvin Uptmor of Portland; three sisters, Mrs. Ed Deiterman of West, Mrs. Lewis Deiterman of Temple and Mrs. Tracy Rauschuber of Gainesville; three brothers, Frank Uptmor of New Orleans, La., and Herman Uptmore of Tours; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
