He married Eliza Frazer on Oct 12 1854 in Portage County, Ohio
In 1860 he lived in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts with his wife & son, and was a ticket agent.
Civil War Service - He enlisted Sep 20 1862, age 32. He was commissioned an officer and mustered in Company D, Ohio 125th Infantry Regiment on 22 Nov 1862 as a 2nd Lieutenant at Camp Cleveland, Ohio. He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant Apr 22 1863. He was promoted to Full Captain but not mustered. He was wounded Jun 27 1864 during the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain, GA. He died of his wounds and was mustered out on 08 Jul 1864 at Chattanooga, TN. His body was later transported to Ravenna and he was buried Jan 21 1866.
His wife filed for a widow's pension on Sep 23 1864 which was granted - Cert # 38865.
