Kenneth Peter Lyden, 42, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on December 9, 2012 at his residence in Lake Worth, FLA. Born October 3, 1970 in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of Richard A. and Cecelia S. Lyden. Ken was a graduate of Camp Hill High School and La Salle University. He was a proud member of the 1988 Class A State Championship Football Team.
Ken who was named after his two grandfathers was known by his friends as "Bubs", a nickname given to him by his siblings when he was very young and adopted by his closest friends. He had a passion for sports, especially golf, and a great sense of humor. Golfing friends from Florida plan to organize The Ken Lyden Memorial Golf Tournament, the proceeds to be donated to the American Heart Association. Most of all, Ken loved his family and cherished his friends.
Ken worked in the financial field for nearly two decades and was last employed as a commodities trader with Templeton Financial Group in Delray Beach, Florida.
He is survived by his loving parents and his sister, Cheryl Anne Cochran, her husband, Timothy and their two children, Caroline and Ryan of Annapolis, Md., and his brother, Christopher Paul Lyden of Lancaster, PA.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday December 15, 2012 in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 E. Trindle Rd., Camp Hill, with the Rev. Paul C. Helwig as celebrant. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday December 14, 2012 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, and also in the Church on Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be held immediately following the mass in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
