JOHN DOLAN DEAD
Former County Recorder Passes Away in Oregon
John R Dolan, past 70 years old. For many years a resident of Cass County, died the first of the week at the family home in Klamath Falls, Oregon. His death was due to palpitation of the heart, and he was seriously ill only about ten days.
The body is being shipped to Freeman for burial. Mrs Dolan and their eldest daughter, Marie, expect to reach Kansas City, with the body Saturday morning at nine o'clock. They will be joined there by the eldest son, Homer Dolan, and the party expects to reach Freeman cemetery about 2:30 o'clock.
The Dolan Family with the exception of the eldest son has resided in Oregon for the past three years. Besides those mentioned the surviving children are Misses Winnie and Thelma and Ward and Gordon. William Dolan of Freeman is a brother of the deceased and another brother resides near Odessa.
Mr Dolan lived for a great many years in the Freeman neighborhood, and for a time was engaged in the mercantile business there. He, and his family came to Harrisonville when he was elected county recorder, and after serving his term of office here, removed to Kansas City, later to Colorado, thence to Oregon.
