Rollin Fielden "Bud" Forsythe, 62, president of The Gordon Company, died on February 19, 1988 while traveling in Cuzco, Peru. He was born on October 7, 1925 near Waynoka, Oklahoma to Lee Rollie and Bertha Mae (Creech) Forsythe. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He married Lita Rae Vance on June 19, 1945 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They had been residents of Winona since 1960. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter. Survivors include his daughters, Vickie Johnson of DeSoto, Texas and Debbie McCall of Fort Worth, Texas; his son, Michael Forsythe of Minneapolis; his brothers, Robert Lee Forsythe of Waco, Texas, Raymond Forsythe of Pensacola, Florida, and Cecil Ray Forsythe of Danville, Arkansas; his sisters, Doris Jeffries of Aline, Oklahoma, Lena Knox of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Alice Knox of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church with Rev. Phil Williams officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with Fawcett Funeral Home directing arrangements.
