Tompkinsville – – Virgil Walter Capps, 86, a resident of Radio Station Rd., Tompkinsville, died Sunday, December 3, 1995 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
A native of Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Levi and Margaret Smith Capps and was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a farmer and a former Monroe County magistrate.
Surviving her nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Cass, Tom and Richard Capps and by four sisters, Mary Bartley, Sarah Bartley, Frances Anderson and Mertie Smith.
Graveside services were held at 1pm Tuesday at the Beaumont Cemetery. The Yokley funeral home was in charge of services.
