Illness Fatal To G. B. Allen

George B. Allen, 78, of El Reno Route 2, a long-time Canadian farmer, died Sunday in Park View hospital following a two months illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Turner funeral home chapel at Yukon and burial was in the El Reno cemetery under direction of the Turner funeral home.

Born at Odell, Ill., Mr. Allen came to the El Reno area in 1902 and was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife, Elta, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Hurst, Augusta, Kan., and Mrs. La Verne Brown, El Reno; two sons, William J. Allen of Wichita, Kan., and Corliss B. Allen, 814 South Miles; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Murray, Beverly Hills, Calif., and Mrs. Helen King, Oklahoma City; and a brother, Alex, Russellville, Ark., six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
