Frances Nowak
Mrs. John A. (Frances) Nowak, 76, died Friday, October 14 at 5:30 a.m. at Cornick Nursing Home, Albert Lea. Death resulted from a stroke following a two-month illness. Frances Dulas Nowak was born February 24, 1884 at Walnut Lake Township the daughter of John and Johanna Pietrus Dulas. She was a life long resident of the Wells area.
She was married to John A. Nowak at St. Casimir Catholic Church at Wells. He preceded her in death July 16, 1930.
Mrs. Nowak was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.
She is survived by two sons, Andrew and Frank, both of Wells; two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Agnes) Stenzel and Mrs. Frank (Florence) Troska, both of Wells; and 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. William (Martha) Klocek, Mrs. Barney (Mary) Siglowski, Mrs. Andrew (Elizabeth) Tatarek, and Mrs. Joseph (Clara) Bushlack, all of Wells; and four brothers, Peter, Frank, Steve and Joe V. Dulas, all of Wells.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Dorothy in 1922 at age seven; a sister, Mrs. Nick (Agnes) Kalis; and brothers Paul, Andrew and John.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, October 17 at 9 a.m. from St. Casimir Catholic Church, with the Rev. Peter Fafinski officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery, Wells. The Rosary was prayed Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Heitner Funeral Home.
Casket bearers were Donald Nowak, Raphael Nowak, James J. Stenzel, Leo C. Stenzel, Robert Troska and William Troska. --The Wells Mirror, October 20, 1960
