Elmer E. Cain, 83 of Rockford passed away Saturday, December 08, 2012. Born January 16, 1929 in Bloomington, son of John and Alice (McCoy) Cain. Married Joyce Smith in Bloomington, September 22, 1950, she passed away January 20, 1997. Married Anna Ethington in Loves Park, January 9, 1998. Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a Mason for over 50 years. Retired from Woodward Governor after 29 years . Survivors include his wife, Anna; children, Sandra (Al) Melton, Rodney (Ann) Cain and Tammy (Larry) Bilbrey; grandchildren, Dan (Heather) Cain, Billy (Leigh Ann) Seymour, Nick (Carrie) Seymour and Tara Cain; great grandchildren, Dani, Courtney and Claudia, Tyler, Madison and Allyson, Patrick and ShayLeah,; sister, Virginia (Jack) Cain; several nieces and nephews; step children, Paula (Ed) Felchner, Mabel (Bill) Larson, Debbie (Terry) Carlson, Curt (Marilyn), Ron (Kay) and David (Robin) Ethington and their families. Predeceased by brothers, John, Lyle and Jim Cain. Services 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012 in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park with his stepson Curt officiating. Visitation 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flower, memorials to Northern Illinois Hospice
