Mrs. Ada Lowrance Died Here Thursday
Mrs. Ada Viola Lowrance, 92, a longtime Carrollton resident, died at 9:20 p.m., Thursday at the Lancaster rest home after a protracted illness.
Mrs. Lowrance, the former Ada Bedigrew, was born in Ohio, December 26, 1871, daughter of Jonathan and Sarah (Smith) Bedigrew. She was the last of her immediate family, having been predeceased by two sisters and two brothers. She was a member of the Christian Church here.
Mrs. Lowrance was thrice married and was preceded in death by each of her three husbands. There was only one child of the unions, a son, Frank Bedigrew, who died about five years ago. Her last marriage was to John Lowrance.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Mrs. Viola Lemley, Sacramento, Calif.: Melvin Bedigrew and Earnest Bedigrew, both of North Sacramento, and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Violet Bedigrew, also of North Sacramento.
She further leaves several nieces and nephews including: Sadie Allred and Luther Allred, Edmonds, Wash.; Bert Luther, Commerce, Okla.; Mrs. Ada Walters, Libert; Mrs. Betha Lewis, Missouri City; Mrs. Nova Seek, Kansas City. She reared to manhood, L.B. Caynor, Plattsburg.
The body was removed to the Marshall funeral home.
Services were at 2 o'clock Monday at the Marshall Chapel conducted by Rev. John Buck. Burial was in Oak Hall Cemetery.
