Kenneth "Buck" Buchanan, 71, passed away on October 16, 2012 in Baytown, Texas. He was born on August 26, 1941 in Franklin County, Texas to Lillie May and Leslie Buchanan. He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; 2 brothers and son, Jayson Robertson. He is survived by his loving wife, Blanche R. Buchanan; daughters, Kelly and husband Phil Woods and Lisa and husband Jack Wilcox; grandchildren, Abby Wilcox, Mathew Wilcox, Hailey Robertson, Havana Robertson and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family. Buck was a long-time resident of La Porte and retired from Equistar after 33 years of service. He served as a fireman in the US Air Force and was stationed in France. He also was a fireman for NASA. He loved to read, he loved to fish, but most of all, he loved caring for friends and family. What he was best known for was his delicious BBQ and his wonderful sense of humor which he kept until the end. He will be truly missed by all who loved him. Family will receive friends on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Grand View Memorial Park. Condolences may be shared at www.grandviewfunerals.com.
