Mrs. Cole was born January 21, 1926, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Marcus Jefferson and Altha Marie Atkins. She was the Fayette/Lamar Community Service Coordinator for the State of Alabama for thirty years. Mrs. Cole was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, quilting, crafts, and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Cole; her brother, Marcus Jefferson Atkins, Jr.; and two sisters, Fannie Raye Rickman and Elizabeth Atkins Atwood.
Survivors include her son, daughter, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
