This cemetery was found and identified by Mary Jane Hall of Cedar Mountain, in Rockingham County, N.C.
She was told by her elderly aunt that this cemetery was neither the Rhodes or the Smith cemetery. It was the old Hutchens cemetery. Her aunt grew up a few hundred yards down the road from this cemetery.
Hiram Smith is buried across the road from this cemetery.
