Clyde enjoyed serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a minister for 55 years. He also enjoyed ministering to people throughout his life time and he served as a funeral director at several funeral homes in Calhoun County. His final ministry was at Weaver Church of Christ, Weaver, Alabama. One of his greatest joys was time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend.
NOTE Clyde was diagnosed with a rare and fast growing type of cancer known as Non-Hodgkins T-Cell Lymphoma. Five weeks after his initial doctor's visit, and after tests had been performed, his doctors made their conclusive diagnosis. He was given his first Chemotherapy treatment that day. The cancer progressed so rapidly that he was unable to take his next treatment. He lost his battle with this deadly disease in less than three months.
