Mr. James Pierre Wells, 83, went to be with his Lord at a Welch, WV hospital.
He was the son of the late James Luke Wells and Fannie Matthews Wells. He had been a life long resident of McDowell County, WV and was a retired salesman with Elkhorn Valley Grocery.
He was predeceased by brother Paul Wells.
He is survived by wife Gladys Marie Corder Wells and sons Harry Pierre Wells, Jr, of Sacramento, CA and James V Wells of Bahkeair, Turkey.
He is also survived by three brothers Paul Wells of Gary, WV, James L Wells and James Fred Wells both of Sun City, FL and sister Wilma Harris of Gary and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Douglas Mortuary Chapel in Welch with Reverend Greg Blair and Reverend Doug Able officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV.
