Harold L Foreman, 70, of 525 Bellview Ave., Winchester, died Friday in the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, W. VA. He was born Nov. 18, 1916 in Frederick County, the son of Frank and Katherine LaFollete Foreman.
He married Elsie Locke Oct. 23, 1937. in Winchester. He was retired from the Postal Service as a carrier. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, was in Army during World War II, and was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
Surviving with his wife is a daughter, Jody F Massie of Denver; a brother, Caryln F Foreman of Winter Springs, Fla.; and a grandson. A brother, Maurice Foreman is deceased. A funeral will be at 11 AM Monday in Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Robert D Koth officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Vincent A Catozella, Robert C Cooper, William O Grove, Ralph Halfen, John H Locke, Robert L Wibberly, Nelson Grim, Jack Ireland, and Alex M Thompson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Jones Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Living Memorial Fund of Christ Episcopal Church, 134 W Boscawen St, Winchester, 22601.
