DeLoris M. Medina
(February 2, 1940 - August 18, 2007)

OGDEN - DeLoris Martha Medina passed away Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the young age of 67, of Hepatorenal Syndrome.

She was born February 2, 1940 to Edward and Juanita Medina in Del Norte, Colorado. They later moved to Ogden where she graduated from Weber High School. She married Jake B. Martinez on February 24, 1962. They later divorced.

DeLoris retired in 2005 after more than 29 years of civil service at H.A.F.B. DeLoris was an avid golfer and moved to St. George, Utah and lived in the community of Sun River where she was just a golf cart ride away from a tee time. She was involved and volunteered for many activities and associations; everything from keeping score for the pros at Jeremy Ranch to teaching young Hispanic kids English. DeLoris also enjoyed skiing, crocheting, traveling, and working in her yard.

Her greatest pride and joy were her 12 "grandbabies" to which she was known as "Granny". She often traveled from St. George to Sierra Vista, Arizona, to Tooele, and to the Ogden area and made every effort to attend all their activities and functions near or far. They will always remember Granny's doodles, her funny perspective, her puppy song, and her "Granny" wrapped presents. They will forever be right in Granny's eyes. DeLoris was an active member of the Catholic Church, St. Josephs/St. James when here in Ogden, and St. George Catholic Church when in St. George.

DeLoris is survived by her children Penne (Arthur, Jr.) Aragon, Sierra Vista, AZ; Suzanne (Danny) Medina, Tooele, UT; Jackie (Robert) Bokinskie, Ogden, UT; and Jake (Veronica) Martinez, Jr., Ogden, UT; her sisters Angie (Nick) Salazar, Ogden, UT; and Pat (Paul) Dawson, Ogden, UT.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Juanita (Chacon) Medina; sisters Francis Castro and Ida Valdez; and grandson Jacob Celestino Medina.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 495 North Harrison Blvd.

Friends may call at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. where Rosary Service will be held at 7 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
