Mary L. Hutton, 76, of Meredosia, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa.

She was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Meredosia, the daughter of Archie and Violet Marie Phillips Gobel. She married Jack L. Hutton, and he preceded her in death in 1980.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine (Gary) Norris of Waukon, Iowa, and Ginger (William) Towslee of Bryan, Texas; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Narvilla Tubbs of Meredosia. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mickey Dickman and Betty Six; and one brother, Donald Gobel.

Mrs. Hutton was a bus driver for the Bluffs School District for 43 years, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed collecting birdhouses and wind chimes. Mary's family, especially her children and grandchildren, were her life.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Oakland Cemetery in Meredosia. Memorials are suggested to the Meredosia Rescue Squad. Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Meredosia is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.buchanancody.com.
