The following is from an undated newspaper clipping found in an old book of obituaries in Willow River, MN:

William P Weekley, former resident and barber at
Willow River, passed away March 20 [no year] at Ladysmith, Wis. where he had made his home the past 20 years. The funeral services were held March 23 at the McElravy chapel in Ladysmith with Elder E. Johnson of the Seventh Day Adventist church officiating. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery there.

Born in Maryland Jan. 25, 1867, Mr. Weekley spent his early years in Illinois. Coming to Minnesota, he purchased the barber shop at Willow River and also worked in the sawmills and logging camps in the early days. His marriage to Kate Levisee took place at Weston, Wis. Nov. 30, 1892. The family left Willow River in the fall of 1930 to make a new home at Ladysmith.

Survivors include the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Stepan of Willow River and Mrs. Genevieve LaBerge of Ladysmith; a son, Oren, of Minneapolis; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. May Ackerman of Waterloo, Iowa and Mrs. Belle Ackerman of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
