Henry J. Jangula, 81, Linton, died Aug. 13, 2004, in a Strasburg care center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, with the Rev. Kenneth Phillips officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Myers Funeral Home, Linton.
Henry J. Jangula was born on a farm near Zeeland, the son of Jacob and Magdalena (Keller) Jangula. He attended country school. Henry farmed with his family until his marriage to Barbara Zacher May 13, 1946, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Hague.
Following their marriage, they farmed east of Zeeland. They retired from farming in 1976, and moved into Linton. Barbara died August 16, 1995.
Henry was the groundskeeper of the Emmons County Historical Society Museum. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening and flowers, and spending time with family and friends.
Henry was preceded in death by both parents; his wife; one son and daughter in infancy; one granddaughter; six brothers; and four sisters.
