Mary Lee Jones ``Granny'' Drake, of the 1000 block of Rugby St., a retired homemaker, died July 8, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mrs. Drake was born in Blackstone, Va. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Norfolk, and United Order of Tents Lily of the Valley (NU)4 and was the widow of William Drake.

Survivors include three stepdaughters, Magalene Barringer and Margie Blount, both of Norfolk, and Odessa King of Maryland; two stepsons, Joseph Drake of Norfolk and Calvin Drake of New York; 17 grandchildren which include Nellie Wood, Gail Burke and Mary Bowers, all of Norfolk, and Rosa Harris of Virginia Beach; 45 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Jerusalem Baptist Church by the Rev. Thomas M. Venable. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hale Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble at 6349 Whittier Drive.
