MILTON SOWASH IS BURNED IN CABIN

Milton Sowash, a herder, aged about 60 years, was burned to death in an old cabin on Antelope Creek about 65 miles north of Douglas. The badly burned body was found Monday by foreman Jacobs of the Jenne ranch, who went over to investigate when he noticed that the cabin had been destroyed by fire. Sowash was last seen on February 2. He had been in the employ of Jacob Jenne, but had left that employment. He stayed a few days at the Jenne ranch and later went to a neighboring ranch, which was the last time he was seen alive. Little is known of the man in this country, where he has lived for about four years. Coroner Hofmann drove out to the place Tuesday afternoon and brought the remains to Douglas. It is said that the dead man has a wife living at York, Nebraska and Mr. Hofmann has telegraphed to that place in the hopes of getting news of relatives.
---Douglas Budget, Feb. 12, 1920 and Glenrock Gazette Feb. 19, 1920

(Copies of the obituaries can be obtained from the Converse County, WY library.
