Guest at Methodist Home Is Dead
On Tuesday afternoon a well known citizan of Tyrone died at the Methodist Home for the aged. Mr Poust has been failing in health for some time but his condition from Brights Disease only became serious a few weeks ago when he gradually grew weaker unitl he fell on eternal Sleep yesterday.
Ellis Poust was the son of Samuel and Naomi Poust he was born in Moreland Township Lycoming county July 2 1845. His boyhood days was spent in Lycoming County and when a young man he came in the vicinity of Pennsylvania Furnace where he resided until he came to Tyrone in 1898 and resided here ever since. He was Uited in Marriage with Miss Mary A Kusterbauder who preceeded him to the grave April 2,1914. Surviving to mourn his passing are these sons and daughters Richard H Poust Pennsylvania Furnace, Howard Poust Pittsburgh,Mrs William Harpster Tyrone. He is also survived by one brother and two sisters namely Thomas Poust Lycoming County,Mrs Sarah Hartman Petersburg,Mrs Mary Harper State College.
Mr Poust was a sincere Christian and a devoted member of the First Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home of his daughter Mrs William Harpster on West Park Ave Thursday afternoon. interment in Grandview Cemetery
