Birth: 1787
Quebec, Canada
Death: Nov. 3, 1875
Stockton
Chautauqua County
New York, USA

Catherine was born about 1787 probably somewhere near the Maine/NH/Quebec border or perhaps on the Penobscot River in Maine. She is believed to be the daughter of Metallic and was known in Maine by the name Parmachenee. A lake in Maine is named after her. She is an Abenaki Indian either from the St. Francis or Penobscot Community.

She appears to have been a Native healer, passing her knowledge of plants and remedies on to her daughter, Marleah.

Note her year of death on the headstone does not agree with the cemetery's burial register. The register clearly shows she died in 1874. This is supported by the fact her husband is listed as a widower in the 1875 NY State Census.
