Mrs. Lena Merk, wife of Edward Merk of the town of Algoma, died Sunday evening at Mercy Hospital after an illness of several weeks. She was born in Marytown, Calumet County, Wis., March 24, 1865, but has resided in the town of Algoma the past 25 years.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Miss Crescentia Merk, town of Algoma; Mrs. Emmet Redmond, Calvery, Wis.; two sons, Hugo Merk and Jacob Merk, town of Algoma; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anton Steffes, Chilton, Wis., and Mrs. Matt Loehr, Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at Fiss & Bills funeral home and at St. John's Catholic Church. the Rev. Roland Ahearn will be officiate, interment in Calvary cemetery.
