Bendena Man Dies In Texas
Charles Edward Laverentz, 65, Bendena, died unexpectedly yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elmer Burkett, Houston, Texas, where he was visiting during the holidays.
He had been a resident of Bendena 20 years and had lived in Northeast Kansas all his life. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church at Bendena.
He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Burkett, Houston, and Mrs. Louise Jacobs, Hiawatha; two sons, Wilbur Laverentz, Holton, and Karl Laverentz, Hiawatha; five brothers, William Laverentz, Bendena, George and Gilbert Laverentz, Horton, Antone Laverentz, Marysville, and Luther Laverentz, Rook Port, Mo ; five sisters, Mrs. Arthur Albers, Bendena, Mrs. Ray Setts and Mrs. Harry Hudson, Willis, Mrs. Edna McLaughlin, Atchison, and Mrs. Anna Snyder, Botha, Alberta Canada, and 14 grandchildren.
The casket is expected to arrive at the Tibbetts mortuary al Trey tomorrow noon.
