Services for Gertrude Frances Griffin, 95, of Monroe City, MO., were conducted at 1 P.M. Tuesday at the Garner Funeral Home. The Rev. Lynn Crader officiated. Burial was in St. Jude's Cemetery, in Monroe City, MO.
Mrs. Griffin died at 8:30 A.M. 08 December 1991 at her home in Monroe City, MO.
She was born 22 April 1890 to Henry and Mary Etta Curry King. She married to Walter Griffin on 25 Oct 1911 in Monroe City, MO. He died 30 august 1979.
Survivors include one son Walter Jr. of St. Charles, MO.; Three daughters, Mary Elizabeth Gouselow of St. Louis; Lillian Ruth Warren of St. Louis, MO.; Peggy Hodgson of St. Charles; 9 grand children; 12 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mrs. Griffin attended Hickory Grove School in Marion County, MO. She and her husband farmed in Marion County, MO. for many years. She attended Hunnewell Methodist Church.
Her grandsons were pallbearers.
