"A Sudden Death Little Bessie May Adams, the daughter of O.W. and S. C. Adams, was born July 7, 1902 and died October 28, 1905 near Bigelow, Mo. Aged three years, three months and twenty-one days. Little Bessie played all day Friday, but was somewhat hoarse Friday night, coughed and was a little croupy, but slept well, and at 6:45 asked for a drink, after which she began to cough and strangle, and at 7:10 she passed away. Little Bessie was a sweet little blossom of three summers, loved and cherished by all who knew her. Funeral was held at the M.E. church in Bigelow by Elder Weaver, of Tabor, Iowa, after which the remains were laid away in the Caton cemetery to await the coming of the Lord. There was an angel band in heaven That was not quite complete, So God took our darling Bessie To fill the vacant seat. “
