Mary Katherine Jennings, 91, of Chuckey, died Saturday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Jennings was 50 year member of Open Door Tabernacle Church.

"She enjoyed sewing and was an avid doll collector," her family noted.

She was the widow of Jeff Jennings.

Mrs. Jennings is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Ed and Margaret Jennings of Chuckey and J.C. and Ruby Jennings of Greeneville; one daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Jerry Hankins of Afton; one daughter-in-law: Regina Jennings of Greeneville; six grandchildren: Kathy Hankins of Afton, Judy Bunch of Morristown, David Jennings of Afton, Alan Jennings of Limestone, Carol Saulsbury of Greeneville, and Nic Hankins of Maryville; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; six sisters-in-law: Lucille Wilhoit of Chuckey, Jo Ann Seaton of Greeneville, Kate Wilhoit of Newport, Ida Albright of Bulls Gap, Wanda Brobeck of Greeneville, and Margaret Jennings of Chuckey; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jennings was preceded in death by her parents: Dave and Maude Wilhoit; one son: James A. Jennings; one grandson: Jefferey Lynn Jennings; and three brothers: James Wilhoit, Sam Wilhoit and Guy Wilhoit.

The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday and will receive from 6-8 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock this evening in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. David Parr will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Family, friends and pallbearers will meet at 10 o'clock at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Mrs. Jennings' grandsons and great-grandsons.
