Lenora Jeane Moore
10/7/1932 - 11/17/2012

Lenora "Jeane" Moore passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 17, 2012. She was born on the sidewalk in front of St. Luke's Hospital in San Francisco, Calif. Her father Emil Christopher Fafri said she was in such a hurry to get into this world, that she couldn't even wait till mom, Myrna Lee (Gill) Fafri, got into the hospital. She hadn't changed much until a recent battle with cancer. She was always on the go.
Jeane stayed in the Bay Area to graduate from Jefferson Union High School, marry her first husband, Dewey Merlin Gibbs (eloped to Reno, Nev.), and have her children. They moved to Foresthill in 1966. In 1969 she married Fredrick Milton Suehead, and in 1971 she married Alfred Charles Moore and moved to her current home in Loomis.
Jeane worked as a full charge bookkeeper from 1950, working for various companies and retired from the City of Roseville in 1990. Her wide range of interests led her to take a variety of classes at Sierra Community Junior College graduating with an AS degree in Accounting in June 1984. She even drove the school vans on several geology and biology field trips. Her life long interest in genealogy took her on many other trips, including one to Lenk, Switzerland to where her paternal grandfather was born. There weren't many cemeteries she could pass. She was also interested in bowling, photography, sewing and needlework, square dancing and ceramics.
Locally she has been a member of Soroptimist International, Mavericks Square Dance Club, Rainbow Stars Exhibition Square Dancers, Rose Chapter, Order of Eastern Star Roseville. Jeane was preceded in death by her parents, her younger brothers, Robert Emil (1940) and Rodney Chris (1945), and all three husbands. She is survived by her companion of over 20 years, James Patrick Cullen; daughter, Geraldine Diane Britton; sons, Steven Michael Gibbs (Las Vegas), Dewey Nickolas Gibbs (Loomis), and Norman Chris Gibbs (and Michelle of Colfax); grandchildren, Angela Goldthwaite (and Jason of Loomis), Katheryn Gibbs (and John Graney of Fresno), Suzanne Gibbs (Modesto), and Alyssa and Sierra Gibbs (Colfax); and great grandchildren; Madison Goldthwaite, and Haylee and Hayden Graney.
Burial was at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Colma, Calif. on November 26, 2012. A Celebration of Life is planned for after the first of the year.
