Ora Adelle Bell, 73, of Keokuk, died at 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at her home.
She was born on Sept. 8, 1926, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Ora and Addie Butler Waltman. She married Neal Wayne Bell on Aug. 24, 1949, in Hardin, Ill., He preceded her in death on May 26, 1997.
Survivors include; children, Amy Smith and her husband, Richard, of Canton, Mo., Bryan Bell and his wife, Kerry, of Hamilton, Ill., and Ora "Butch" Bell and his wife, Lori; Roy Bell and his wife, Anna, and Charlie Bell and his wife, Korenda, all of Keokuk; a sister-in-law, Treasurer "Babe" Waltman of Keokuk; six granddaughters; 17 grandsons; 14 great grandchildren; and numberous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Addie, a grandchild, three great grandchildren; on brother and one sister.
She lived in Mexico, Mo., before moving to Keokuk in 1964. Mrs. Bell had been employed by Dryden Rubber as a production laborer. She had also been employed by the lee County Home.
Mrs. Bell belonged to the First Christian Church in Keokuk, and was a former Eagles and Moose member. She enjoyed her family, riding in her husband's truck, dancing and riding motorcycles.
Runeral services are at 10 a.m. MOnday, Jan. 17, at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk, with the Rev. William Mitchell Officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Visitation is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, at the funeral home, with the family meeting friends from 76 to 9 p.m.
