He was born September 29, 1927 in Flora to Sam and Ina E. (Adams) Guinn.
Russell was a fan and supporter of all Flora High School sporting events. He attended all the games and his presence was missed when he was no longer able to attend. He also enjoyed traveling and taking yearly vacations.
Russell worked for over 30 years at the Flora Eagles Lodge and was a member of Flora First Church of God.
Surviving are two sister-in-laws, Zella Guinn and Doris Guinn, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and sisters and their spouses: Everett (Mae) Guinn, Lyman (Alma) Guinn, Norton (Mary) Guinn, Charles Guinn, Fay Guinn, Hazel (Bill) Hinkle, Thelma (Charles) Goings, along with several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Russell Guinn was held at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Pastor Richard Artis officiating.
Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora.
