Hal C. Derrick, age 82 of Sevierville, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 25, 2012. He was at home and was surrounded by his wife and family. He fought a hard battle and never complained. He loved his farm and NASCAR Racing. More than anything, he loved riding over his farm in his golf cart with his beloved dog, Oz. His big smile and stories will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Derrick was preceded in death by his parents, Ferd and Nola Byrd Derrick; nephews, Barry Fox, Mike Thornton; son-in-law, Roy Kenneth Frazier

His survivors include:
Loving wife of 53 years: Ann Finchum Derrick
Daughters and sons-in-law: Deanie Derrick Lamb (Kent) of Dothan, AL, Marsha Derrick Johnson (Gary) of Dothan, AL, Kim Derrick Frazier (Late Roy Frazier) of Sevierville, TN
Grandchildren: Brandon Derrick Gilland of Columbus, GA, Kelley Lamb Armstrong of Dothan, AL, Miles Austin Frazier of Hendersonville, TN
Great-grandchildren: Spencer Ace Gilland, Ally Taylor Armstrong
Sisters: Pauline Fox of Sevierville, Reva Thornton of Dandridge, Alma Jean Thornton of Dandridge
Several nieces and nephews and many special friends

Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. John Clark and Rev. Mark Bayer officiating. Interment 11 AM Thursday in Burchfield Memorial (Byrd's) Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Miles Austin Frazier, Burnett "Pilk" Finchum, Blake Finchum, Steve "Whitey" Ivey, Bobby Caughorn, and Kamen Dick. Honorary pallbearers will be James Barleyohire, Bob Ownby, Lyndel "Linny"Shrader, Steve "Fuzz" Ogle, Robert Fine, Sammy Wiley, Ricky Caughron, Johnny Hughes, Mike "Sally" Ivey, Ronnie Landers, Harold Keys, Brandon Gilland, and Parker Armstrong.
