Daniel F. Murphy
After an illness extending over eight months, Daniel F. Murphy, who for over forty years was superintendent of the Javis Tobacco Inspection Company's plant, at Provast and Thirteenth streets, died Wednesday at his home, 67A Van Reipen Avenue. Mr. Murphy was born at Pierpoint, N.Y. and came to this city when a child. Until twelve years ago he was a resident of the Second Ward. He was active in public affairs, but never help public office. He was a widower and is survived by a daughter, Julia; two sons, Daniel and James; one brother, John S. Murphy, and two sisters Mrs. William Walsh, and Miss Mary Murphy. The funeral will take place to-morrow morning from St. John's R.C. Church, Van Winkle Avenue and the Boulevard, and interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery.
