Clarence Edward Morris, 76, Bluejacket, died at 3 am Thursday, Nov. 24, 1988 at Baptist Health Center in Miami following an extended illness.
Mr Morris was born Jan 28, 1912 at Brice MO., the son of Louis and Rosette (Varner) Morris. He was a Bluejacket resident most of his life. A rancher and stockman, he was a member of the Baptist Church of Welch. Mr Morris drove a school bus four years with the Bluejacket Public School system.
He owned and operated the Morris Phillips 66 gasoline station in Bluejacket for several years prior to his retirement.
He married Elva Donohue on June 1, 1936 in Miami, OK. She preceded him in death Nov. 3, 1981. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Morris, Bluejacket, and Mary Lou Riley, Welch, one brother Orville Morris, Nevada, MO., four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Four brothers preceded him in death.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, Nov. 26, at Bluejacket Cemetery, located southeast of Bluejacket, OK. Rev Harold Neal of Fairland will officiate. Family will receive friends at the Clarence Morris home in Bluejacket.
