She was a graduate of West Pittston HS and received her musical training at Wyoming Seminary, Kingston and at St. Louis, MO. She was previously employed at the Celotex Corp. Miss Barnhart was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ where she served as organist and choir director for a number of years. She was also a member of the Senippah class of the church.
She is survived by brothers, Murray F. and Donald D. Barnhart, both of West Pittston; aunt, Edna Ruggles, Forty Fort; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Malcolm E. Barnhart.
