Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, where he was a member, with the Rev.. William Poole officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
A native of Henry County, Va., he had been a resident of Greensboro most of his live and was retired from Southern Electric Co.
Survivors are sons, Frank Self of Greensboro, John Self of Eden, Lee Self of Burlington; daughters, Mrs. T. V. Broadwell and Mrs. J. L. Fredrick, of Arlington, Tex., Mrs. Robert Neal of Burlington; brothers, Jessie Self of Cary, George Self of Eden, Ernest Self of Ridgeway, Va.,, Lewis Self of Boston, Mass.; sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Durdella of Boston, Mass., Mrs. Ethel Godwin of Providence, R.I., Mrs. Ina Alden of Lynchburg, Va.; 14 grandchildren.
