Last Rites Held Wednesday For Mrs. Ellie M. Smith --
Mrs. Ellie Moore Smith, wife of David Smith, died at her home on the Huntsville Highway Tuesday morning at 3 o'clock after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held at the Higgins Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Otis W. Welch, assisted by Prof. R. K. Morgan, with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
For a number of years, Mrs. Smith was one of the leading piano teachers in this county, having taught at the public schools and also at Bryson College. She was a member of the Southern Presbyterian Church and was regular in her attendance for as long as her health would permit her. She was the daughter of the late John and Mollie Moore and was born and reared in Lincoln County.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Miss Mary Edith Moore.
