SAN JOSE - Margaret Emma (Hobbs) Arnold, 88, of San Jose passed away at 9:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at the Mason City Area Nursing home.
She was born March 9, 1924, in Flint, Mich., to George and Lois (Miller) Hobbs. She married Richard L. Arnold on May 7, 1950.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheila (Allen) Spinner of Streamwood, Ill., and Judy Kindred of Lincoln, Ill.; one son, Steve (Denise) Arnold of Mason City, Ill.; one brother, Clyde Hobbs of Decatur, Ill.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Elizabeth; and brothers, Ralph, Lloyd and Irvin Hobbs.
Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at San Jose United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, with visitation one hour prior to the services. The Rev. Nash Shawgo will officiate. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family is suggesting memorial contributions may be made to San Jose United Methodist Church or to Mason City Area Nursing Home.
