Mrs. Compau Rites

ROCKWOOD, Oct. 20 - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Malinda Compau who died at Mercy Hospital yesterday morning will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock at the Rockwood St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Fr. A. W. Soest officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Mrs. Compau was the 89-year-old widow of Frederick Compau of East Rockwood and is survived by three sons, Joe and Leo of Rockwood and Fred M. of Newport; five daughters, Mrs. Agnes Noel of Rockwood, Mrs. Elizabeth Van Wasshnova and Mrs. Joseph Arquette of South Rockwood, Mrs. Annie Burns and Mrs. Emma Hale of Detroit; one brother, Sylvester Gonyea of Newport; 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Says survived by only 5 daughters including Mrs. Annie Burns who is actually Annie Barron but the nasal pronunciation of Barron does sound almost like Burn.
It does not mention Josephine (Austin) Arquette who died 10 Feb 1938.
