Mrs. George (Goldie) Williams, 83, of 33 Fourth St. N.E., died Tuesday evening at Violet Tschetter Memorial Home.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Welter Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Solmonson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday until time of service.
Goldie M. Fraser was born July 28, 1896, in Winona, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. George L. Fraser.
As a child, she moved with her parents to Minneapolis where she attended school and to a homestead in Harding County in 1909.
She married George L. Williams March 24, 1915, at Buffalo. They lived in Harding County until 1920 when they moved to farms in Beadle County. They moved to Huron in 1946 where she had since resided. She attended the Methodist Church ad was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Good Will and Willing Workers Clubs.
Survivors include two sons, Donald G. of Huron and Theodore G. of Rockford, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Patricia) Bindenagel, Love Park, Ill., and Mrs. William (Carl) Miedema, Beloit, Wis.; 18 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in June 8, 1959; a daughter, Edith Jensen in 1957, and a brother, James Fraser.
The pallbearers will be grandsons.
