Paul Morgan Dalton, age 91 of Gretna died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Hospice House in Lynchburg. Born May 4, 1921 in Pittsylvania County he was a son of the late Rosswell Dalton and Sallie Kate Pickeral Dalton. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Madeline Myers Dalton; one son, Paul Michael Dalton, Sr.; one great-grandchild, Kristen Osborne; two sisters, Rebecca Keen, and Nyra Worley; and three brothers, Clay Dalton, Acie Dalton, and Bernard Dalton. Mr. Dalton was a member of Piney Fork Baptist Church, and was a former employee of Dan River Mills. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Haley of Gretna, and Cindy Glenn and her husband, Aubrey of Altavista; two brothers, Curtis Dalton of Roanoke, and Edgar Dalton of Danville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Russ Dalton Family Cemetery by Rev. Dr. Roy Ford and Rev. Eddie McDonald. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his daughter, Peggy Haley, 210 Huffmond Street, Gretna.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Centra Hospice, 3300 Rivermont Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24503. Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is assisting the family. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.colbertmoran.com.
