The daughter of 1940s model-turned actress Trudy Marshall, her father worked in the meat and restaurant industry. Raised within the shadows of Hollywood, she studied at Los Angeles Valley College and began her acting career following training at the National Theatre in England with a minor role in the TV-film "Of Men and Women" (1973). This was followed with a series of motion pictures among them "40 Carats" (1973), "The Dove" (1973) and "The Sentinel" (1977). Her most prolific work was in TV-movies which included her memorable portrayal of tormented actress Brooke Hayward in "Haywire" (1980) and her Golden-Globe nominated performance in "Touched By Love" (1980). Along with her then-husband music producer Michael Viner, she formed the highly-successful audio books company Dove Books-on-Tape in 1985. She died of complication from leukemia. (bio by: C.S.)
