Lorraine A. Burgus, 48, of 809 Twentieth street SE, died Monday (September 14, 1970) after a long illness. She had been a resident of Cedar Rapids 40 years.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, December 9, 1921, she was married to Donald H. Burgus April 7, 1941, at Kahoka, Missouri. She was active in the Camp Fire Girls and was a Blue Bird mother. She was a member of the First Lutheran church of Cedar Rapids.
Surviving, in addition to he husband, are a daughter, Lori Ann Burgus, both of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Mrs. Fred C. Feller, Cedar Rapids, and three brothers, Fred C. Feller, Jr., Cedar Rapids; Melvin Feller, Clinton, and Norman C, Feller, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Memorial services: Thursday at 3:30 at the Chapel of Memories by the Reverend George W. Carlson of the First Lutheran church. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial funeral home after noon Wednesday and at the Chapel of Memories after 9 a.m. on Thursday. Friends may, if they wish, contribute to the American Cancer Society or the First Lutheran church memorial fund.
