Mary Anne was the youngest child of Lewis Milton Francisco & Polly Anne Phipps-Francisco of Scott Co. VA.

Repeated Census records show she was born in 1842.

Her first marriage was James Morgan McLaughlin. Their two children were:

Henry Milton (McLaughlin) McGlothlin
Martha Evelin McGlothlin-Frazier

After the death of James McLaughlin (he most likely died during the Civil War), she married widower, James Harmon Gilliam.

Sometime after 1881, James and Mary Anne relocated to Pike County, KY.
