Earl Otis Penton of West Chicago Funeral services for Earl Otis Penton, 86, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Road, Elmhurst.

Born July 10, 1916, in Jacksonville, Mo., he died Saturday, June 21, 2003. Interment will be in Mt. Emblem Cemetery.

Earl was the beloved husband of the late Oleta Penton (nee Hughes); loving father of Russell Penton, William (Kathleen) Penton, Shirley (Robert) Sherman, Linda (Peter) Franz and Wayne (Charlene) Penton; proud grandfather of Jeffrey Kubian, Bryan Penton, Tracy Binder, Carrie Kolar, Christine Sabatini, James Penton, Jennifer McLachlan, Christine Mills, Lisa Tonneson, and Tiffany, Jessica and Justin Penton; dear brother of Waldo (Evelyn) Penton; and dear great-grandfather of 13.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, where friends may call at the mortuary.
